The Green Cottage is a beautiful holiday cottage, located on the peaceful village green in picturesque Cropton – It is a very comfortable and cosy retreat with its own lovely walled garden at the back of the cottage.
The Green Cottage was built in the 1800's and has been completely renovated. The charming original features such as oak beams and open fires have been retained, yet the cottage sympathetically incorporates modern comforts and high quality furnishings throughout, to offer you a superb holiday retreat.
Cropton is ideally situated for exploring Ryedale, Rosedale and Cropton Forest, The Ryedale Folk Museum in Hutton le Hole is only 2 miles away. The nearest town is Pickering – where the North Yorkshire Steam Railway takes you to explore the beautiful North York Moors and 'Heartbeat' country. Castle Howard, Duncombe Park, Flamingo Land, Nunnington Hall and Rievaulx Abbey are all within 15 miles of the Green Cottage.
Scarborough and Whitby are about 20 miles away and all the year round attractions of York are 30 miles away. The popular village pub and restaurant are within 200/300 yards of the cottage. Nearest shop and petrol station is in the village of Middleton (3 miles). The nearest supermarket is in Pickering (5 miles).
