At Spiers House you can join a Forest Ranger on forest and moorland walks. They can take you from as little as a mile, right up to more than 10 miles. If you prefer to go your own way, there are plenty of woodland paths to explore on foot and bicycle. There are many stunning views for you to stumble upon.
Historic York is within a short drive from Spiers House, as are the seaside resort of Scarborough and the fishing port of Whitby. Train lovers can enjoy a delightful trip on the North York Moors Railway that sets out from nearby Pickering (5 miles). Many excellent attractions are easily visited including Flamingo Land Theme Park, Castle Howard, Nunnington Hall (National Trust) and the Ryedale Folk Museum.
