| Lockton & Levisham Holiday Cottages |
Lockton & Levisham are two small villages to the north of the market town of Pickering. Lockton has a small shop in the village. Levisham has a dining pub. Both villages are close to Levisham station where you can take a train ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
The villages are surrounded by spectacular scenery, quiet country lanes and moorland tracks. They are in an excellent area for a relaxing holiday. Lockton & Levisham are good locations for discovering the moors and also the Yorkshire coastline. The village of Goathland (Aidensfield in Heartbeat TV series) is only a short drive. You can easily visit the coastal resorts of Whitby and Scarborough.
Pickering is the nearest town (4 miles from Lockton & 6 miles from Levisham) and offers a good range of shops, restaurants, pubs, leisure centre & swimming pool. Attractions in Pickering include the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Pickering Castle and Beck Isle Museum.

They are located in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and close to the picturesque moorland village of Lockton. The cottages have been sympathetically converted and are furnished to a good standard. A short stroll away is the Fox & Rabbit Inn which serves excellent food. Walks and bridleways lead to Dalby Forest. These cottages offer shared laundry room & shared sitting area with picnic table. There is ample private parking and pets are welcome, with a charge of £15 per pet per week. |
